Dylan started scooting about a day before we left for Disneyland (around the first week of May). I wasn't expecting it at all and assumed he had a ways to go before being mobile. I guess I was wrong. He loves to scoot around all over the place and anytime we put him down on the floor he's after something. Guess we need to be careful about all of Kaylin's little toys laying about.

Disneyland!
Well we all had a lot of fun at Disneyland. Kaylin really surprised us and didn't get too scared and actually went on all the rides we wanted her to go on. (She's been a bit afraid of any kind of ride, even a carousel for a while now.) She didn't nap at all and walked pretty much the whole day and didn't even get too fussy or out of hand. She loved seeing the different characters, especially meeting the princesses (even though we had to wait in line for about an hour to see them) and she wasn't even scared about sitting with them or giving them a hug.
I think her favorite part though was being there with her cousin, Elizabeth. They had so much fun together running around and being princesses together. I'm so glad we were able to all go together. My dad and Karen were able to be there for a little while before having to head off to different weddings and my dad hadn't been there in probably twenty years.
Dylan was a trooper and just took in all the sights. I think he had a good time too. We'll definitely have to take the kids again when they're a bit older and will actually remember the experience!Thursday, May 7, 2009
Off we go...
We're heading down to so cal this weekend for my sister's graduation. We're also going to squeeze in Disneyland on Saturday. We get to spend time with family we don't see too often and also visit a few old friends. We're all excited (especially Kaylin)--lots of pictures to come!

First Words
So Dylan started speaking yesterday! He hadn't been babbling that much, just screaming a lot, then all of a sudden I was feeding him in his high chair and he just started saying "dada" over and over! He also likes to say "gaga" and "lala" a lot. It's really cute to hear him. So he's ahead of the game compared to Kaylin; she didn't say dada until around seven months.
